Dr. Nandini Dadu - Metabolic Reset Coach
Who is Dr Nandini Dadu?
I am Dr Nandini Dadu, a physician and specialist with great skills and expertise in weight management, metabolic health and many other hair or skin related issues at Dadu Medical Centre, Vasant Vihar, New Delhi.
My ways and methods to weight management are shaped not only by clinical training, but also by a personal understanding and empathy for the challenges patients face. Having experienced this journey myself, I bring both medical skills and genuine empathy and understanding to every patient interacting with me. This helps me and ensures me to design and create individualised and customised treatment plans that are practical, lasting and made to support long-term metabolic health, rather than short-term results.
Did Dr Nandini Dadu also go through weight gain?
Several years ago, my weight reached 118 kg. This did not happen suddenly. The weight builds up slowly and gradually through a mix of chronic stress, hormonal imbalance from PCOS, and unhelpful coping mechanisms including emotional eating.
Even with my medical knowledge, my body was not responding to usual medical treatment. Each attempt at weight loss felt like it was not working and discouraging. My weight gain led from several related factors like polycystic ovary syndrome causing hormonal imbalance, the pressure of medical practices contributing to chronic and constant stress, and the development and growth of emotional eating patterns as a coping mechanism and strategy. These were not failures of discipline but they were physiological and psychological responses to keeping the imbalance. The result or change went beyond the physical. There were times when daily activities required even effort. The fatigue and tiredness was both physical and psychological that was affecting my confidence, my energy, and how I saw myself. I did not need validation. I needed understanding, medical and personal.
What was Dr Nandini Dadu’s weight loss journey really like?
The decision to change and to transform came from a place of clinical viewpoint rather than self-criticism or by blaming myself. As a physician, I wanted to understand the ways and mechanisms behind what was happening in my own body.
My transformation was not fast and straightforward. There were no sudden changes. In my progress it came slowly and gradually, sometimes only a very slow weight loss over several months, my clothes started fitting better, I had more energy, even when the scale did not change. The changes were slow and gradual but noticeable. There were some setbacks and challenges, weeks when old habits returned, when stress or hormonal change slowed my progress. There were times when the weight came back even when I used to follow a strict plan and strategy.
There were moments when continuing or moving forward seemed more difficult than accepting the status quo. Through this process, I learned a few important principles: long-term change is not built on self control alone. It needs a lot of patience, consistency, and acceptance to modify plans and strategies when results and outcomes are not as expected. I learned to understand and be aware of what my body says and shows signals. I learned that health is not a fixed end point but a constant practice of self-awareness and acceptance.
How does Dr Nandini Dadu treat her patients?
My approach and methods combine both based on research and medical practice with lived experience. I understand how metabolism works and changes in the body, the details of hormonal regulation, and the clinical treatment plans for weight management. But I also understand how they work in daily life and to make myself understand human nature and the cycle of their lifestyle, the psychological challenges, the practical challenges, and the strength to maintain changes.
My patients place their trust in me because I handle and address every concern with genuine and proper understanding and empathy. I understand and also acknowledge the frustration and stress of carefully following treatment plans without seeing real results, the emotional impact of social pressure and judgement, and the courage it takes to seek professional help. When I speak with my patients about their health, I do so not only from clinical knowledge, but also from my own personal experience. This allows me to understand and to give care that is empathetic, practical, and respectful of each patient’s journey.
This understanding tells every consultation. My clinic works and operates from a foundation of respect and empathy, not judgment. I know that every patient sitting across from me is making an effort, many times while managing obstacles and challenges I cannot see. My clinical approach and method is detailed and customised. I do not recommend standard plans because I understand, both professionally and personally, that each metabolism responds differently significantly between individuals. Each patient needs and requires a custom plan and strategy based on their different bodies, situations and goals.
Does Dr Nandini Dadu focus on safe or fast weight loss?
My philosophy brings together detailed medical science with care. I apply and use evidence-based, structured and planned approaches to weight management protocols supported by research and personalized to individual needs. I prioritize treating and focusing on the root causes: hormonal imbalances, metabolic problems, sleep disturbance, and how stress affects the body.
Each patient undergoes detailed and thorough medical evaluation and examination followed by development of a personalized and customized treatment plan. I provide regular medical supervision, monitoring and checking how the body responds and making changes in treatment plans based on health results. This is not trial and error, it is a proper and systematic, medically supervised care well informed by both clinical expertise and personal experience. It is equally important to me to commit to emotional support. I understand that perfection is neither practical nor necessary. I understand and acknowledge small victories. I understand that setbacks and challenges are part of the process, and not a sign of a failure.
My goal and objective is not rapid or fast weight loss. My objective is helping patients build lasting health and also on maintaining healthy habits that last, developing a relationship with their body based on respect, understanding, and wellbeing rather than strict rules and extreme control.
